Oldest map we have showing the area. Map is on the wall of the Kings Ranch Golf Course in Frenchtown. It shows the original access road across Game Ridge and also the creek.
Dad says the map does not show the correct Blanchard crossing point. The dot is correct. When he updated the bridge in 1964, he found layers of corderoy (logs placed next to each other) buried in the muddy approaches to the bridge. They had repeatedly sunk into the soil, year after year.
